The Custer County Fair Board (CCFB) mission is to produce an annual County Fair that celebrates our county’s history, heritage, and culture and to provide oversight for the management of the county fairgrounds.
The CCFB has identified several near term needs to improve the existing fairgrounds facilities that are owned and maintained by Custer County. These improvements address potential safety issues as well as a critical need for additional space to house both livestock and indoor projects. While much of the Fair activities are 4-H and FFA focused for the youth of our community, the CCFB has expanded open classes to the community for indoor projects that include photography, culinary arts, sewing, and other crafts and projects.
Longer term goals include developing a Master Plan for the fair grounds to include community multi-use facilities that can be utilized year round for classes, clinics, special events, etc.
As a subordinate organization of the Custer County Board of County Commissioners, the CCFB may receive tax-deductible donations toward community projects. Your support toward improving our aging and inadequate fairgrounds facilities for both the youth and the general population of Custer County is greatly appreciated.
