The Custer County FFA has been helping students to learn and gain confidence in agriculture since 1986. It is a very important part of our school because we are learning about how agriculture is the backbone of America and all of the hard work and pride that has built this country. The mission of FFA is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
Today, the FFA continues to be a premier leadership organization in the community. Anytime the need arises, the FFA seeks to help students in the classroom, the shop, or in the field. The Custer County FFA Chapter provides students with the opportunity to participate in various competitions ranging from public speaking to soil evaluation, as well as rewarding students for successes in their own supervised agriculture experience.
The FFA properly prepares students to become leaders in all of their pursuits in life, be it agriculture or not. FFA members participate in leadership and career development events at the district, state, and national levels.
