About
The High Altitude Garden Club (HAGC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to civic beauty and horticultural education in Custer County. Our garden club designs, funds, plants and maintains more than a dozen civic projects each year including gardens at Jess Price Park, Memorial Park, Hermit Park, Silver Cliff Town Park, Custer County Courthouse, VALI Assisted Living, and Old Westcliffe Schoolhouse. We planted the Tree Triangles at West Main, Westcliffe and also plant and maintain the Main Street Planters in Westcliffe.
We meet at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on 2nd Street on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 12:30 pm, unless a field trip is planned. An informative program is presented each month to help members and guests understand gardening in our region. Anyone in the community is welcome to join us. It is a great way to meet new friends, learn about gardening at a high altitude and give back to our community. Dues are $25 annually. Members are encouraged to participate in at least one community project yearly, and assist in club fundraising events.
