Our mission as a nonprofit corporation is to raise money for children’s healthcare and other worthy local community projects.
High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival (HMHF) is the sponsoring nonprofit corporation of an annual four-day bluegrass festival in Westcliffe during the second weekend of July featuring nationally recognized performers. The High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival is a nonprofit music festival created to enhance the Wet Mountain Valley as a quality event destination that benefits the entire community. The festival has also raised over $660,000 for local children’s healthcare as well as other worthy Wet Mountain Valley charitable organizations since the event was founded in 2003. The High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival is run by an incredible group of volunteers who work year round to make the festival happen. The festival remains an intimate event, avoiding the sprawl and congestion of large festivals while offering nationally recognized bluegrass talent, remaining true to its motto: “Small Scale, Big Time”.
