The mission of In Concert is to provide cultural and educational opportunities for residents of the Wet Mountain Valley by presenting live classical music performances and youth workshops.


IN CONCERT: CLASSICAL MUSIC IN THE VALLEY was founded in 2003 to provide live classical music for residents of the Wet Mountain Valley. In addition to an annual series of three concerts In Concert sponsors performances and workshops for students at the Custer County Schools and a free band concert in June.

Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $5 for students.

The first performance of the 2018-2019 series, Sunday, October 7, 2018 featured Take 3, a violin, cello, piano trio. Sphere Ensemble, fourteen professional string players will perform January 13, 2019. The Boulder Bassoon Quartet will return to Westcliffe on March 3, 2019. The Colorado Springs Saxophone Quartet, a group that was cancelled last season has been rescheduled for April 28, 2019.

Performances are at the Jones Theater at 2:00.

In keeping with In Concert’s mission to bring classical music to all members of the community, the musicians will perform for students at the Custer County Schools on the day following community concerts.

In Concert will sponsor a free concert by the Southern Colorado Community Band at the Hermit Park Pavilion, Sunday, June 2, 2019 at 2:00.
