About

Together we can improve the lives of our young men and the future of America

Sponsored by Westcliffe Post 170, Colorado Boys State has been conducted annually since 1949. Selected young men from the Custer County High School Junior Class spend one week in June with all expenses paid. American Legion Boys State is among the most respected and selective educational programs of government instruction for high school students in the nation. It is a participatory program where each young man becomes a part of the operation of his government. Young men participating in American Legion Boys State can receive up to 4 college credits. Post 170 Boys State Program is a 501(c) 3 under the umbrella of CO American Legion Boys State. The cost for each attendee is over $400. Every high school Junior wanting to attend Boys State will be able to attend. For complete information see the website at http://www.colegionboysstate.org.
