About the Awards

The Wet Mountain Valley Community Foundation (WMVCF) is having a milestone year, with its 25th birthday and 20th year of the Spirit Campaign. During this extraordinary year, the foundation announced a new and prestigious recognition program, The 2024 Wet Mountain Valley Volunteer of the Year Award. In support of National Volunteer Week, the foundation introduced the recognition program to help celebrate volunteers who demonstrate exceptional dedication, commitment, and impact through their volunteer efforts within our community.

2024 Winners Announced!

We are excited to announce there were 20 volunteers nominated, demonstrating how many great contributors we have in our community. Thank you to all for the incredible participation and recognition of our local volunteers. Of the 20 nominations, The WMVCF is honored to recognize each of the winners:

2024 Winners:

  • Youth Volunteer of the Year (up to age 18) – Keller Johnson
  • Young Adult Volunteer of the Year (19-39) – Michelle Caldwell
  • Adult Volunteer of the Year (40-59) – Jonathan Wiley
  • Senior Volunteer of the Year(60 and up) – Joanie Liebman

In recognition of our winners, a donation will be made to the 501c3 of their choice. A recognition ceremony will also be held for the nominees and the volunteers selected!
